How 742 Children Found Hope in Uganda

Every night across Uganda, countless children face the harsh reality of sleeping on the cold ground with empty stomachs and no clothes. At the Chosen Ones Children’s Foundation, we refused to look the other way. Born from love and an urgent need to end this pain, our charity began its mission to rescue Africa's forgotten children from hunger, sickness, and the streets.

Today, we are blessed to care for 742 precious children who once had nothing. Through the dedication of our founders—Mukisa Jojo Joel, Nabagega Joyce Kamize, Nagy Pitra, and Bagaga Catherine Mercy—and the generosity of donors worldwide, these children are finally experiencing what it means to have a family that cares.

A warm meal might seem like a simple part of a daily routine, but to a starving child, it means the difference between life and tears. We fight the pain of empty stomachs every single day, ensuring that nutrition and clean water reach those who need it most, helping to build stronger bodies and brighter smiles.

The Reality of the 410 Still Waiting

While we celebrate the progress we've made, the journey is far from over. Currently, 332 children have a safe roof over their heads within our care. However, 410 of our children still have no safe place to sleep. They lack proper bedding, adequate clothing, and shelter from the elements.

No child should feel shame because they have no clothes, and no child should have to shiver through the night. Our goal is to expand our reach, build more beds, construct classrooms, and put a secure roof over the heads of the remaining 410 children so they never have to sleep outside again.
